The Setup: A GEO-Aware Agency With a GEO Problem
Titan Web Agency is a Riverton, Utah-based dental marketing agency founded in 2012 by Tyson Downs. They specialize exclusively in dental practice marketing — SEO, PPC, web design — and serve 100+ dental practices. In early 2026, Titan launched a dedicated AI-GEO service page, demonstrating they understand the AI visibility shift.
They’ve published blog content explaining why dental practices appear in local search but not in AI answers. They know the problem exists. They diagnose it for clients.
But when we ran a full GEO audit on titanwebagency.com, we found the exact same gaps they write about — on their own site.
If Titan’s own site has these gaps, their 100+ dental clients almost certainly have worse scores. Healthcare queries trigger Google AI Overviews at 48.75% — the highest rate of any industry. Every F-grade means one more AI answer where their clients’ competitors show up instead.
What the Audit Found
Our full GEO audit analyzed 17 pages (plus 2 blog subdomain pages) across six categories. Titan’s quick GEO Score came in at 68/100 (B) — strong technical foundations with A grades for crawler access, meta tags, and brand signals. But the full audit told a different story: 52/100 (Poor).
What Was Working
- Excellent FAQ schema implementation on 4 service pages (ai-geo: 8 FAQs, local-seo: 6, ppc: 5, problems: 11)
- Strong Organization schema with ProfessionalService type on every page
- 31 client reviews with individual Review schema markup
- 14-year operating history providing strong longevity signals
- Dedicated GEO service page showing market awareness
The Scorecard: Where It Breaks Down
| Area | Score | Grade | Issue |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI Citability | 45/100 | D | Near-zero statistics in content; service pages are conversion-first, not citability-first |
| Content E-E-A-T | 48/100 | D | Founder bio is 65 words with no credentials; no named experts |
| Technical GEO | 55/100 | D | llms.txt contains robots.txt directives instead of actual content |
| Brand Authority | 50/100 | D | No Wikipedia, Crunchbase, or industry directory presence |
| Platform Optimization | 45/100 | D | No YouTube, Reddit, or B2B review platform presence |
The Five Critical Gaps
1. Fake llms.txt File
The file at /llms.txt returns content, but it contains robots.txt-style directives (User-agent: * / Allow: /) instead of actual llms.txt content. AI systems looking for structured context about Titan get zero useful information.
For an agency that sells GEO services, this is especially damaging. It’s the equivalent of a dentist with visibly bad teeth.
2. No AggregateRating Schema Despite 31 Reviews
The reviews page displays 31 client testimonials with individual Review schema — which is good. But there’s no AggregateRating wrapping them. AI systems looking for “best dental marketing agencies” cannot extract “4.9/5 from 31 reviews” — a primary selection signal for recommendation queries.
3. Founder Bio Is 65 Words
Tyson Downs writes all the blog content and is the only visible team member, but his bio page has approximately 65 words. No credentials, education, certifications, speaking engagements, or professional headshot. AI systems evaluate author authority heavily — especially in healthcare-adjacent content where E-E-A-T signals carry outsized weight.
4. Content Lacks Statistical Density
Across all pages, only one external statistic is cited (AP-NORC “60% of adults use AI tools”). Service pages contain zero data points, case study metrics, or research citations. AI systems prefer content with verifiable statistics — it’s how they distinguish citeable expertise from generic marketing copy.
5. Blog on Separate Subdomain
Blog content lives on blog.titanwebagency.com, structurally disconnected from the main domain’s authority signals. AI systems may treat them as partially separate entities, diluting the authority that blog content should be building for the main site.
The Core Insight
Titan has built a conversion-optimized agency site — great for turning visitors into leads. But conversion-first design is nearly invisible to AI citation engines. The content persuades humans but doesn’t inform AI.
This is the gap between SEO thinking and GEO thinking. SEO asks: “Will this page rank?” GEO asks: “Will an AI cite this page when answering a question?” Different questions require different structures.
Recommended Fixes: The 30-Day Playbook
- Week 1 — Technical GEO Foundation: Create a proper 500-word
llms.txtfile describing Titan’s services and expertise. Add AggregateRating schema to wrap 31 existing reviews. Add FAQPage schema to homepage. Reduce crawl-delay from 10s to 2s. Add OG/Twitter meta tags. - Week 2 — Content Citability Overhaul: Add “What is [Service]?” definition blocks to the top of each service page. Insert 3–5 statistics per blog post. Create a “Dental Marketing Statistics” resource page. Restructure case studies with specific metrics.
- Week 3 — E-E-A-T and Author Authority: Expand founder bio to 300+ words with credentials, years of experience, number of practices served, and professional headshot. Add author boxes to blog posts. Populate podcast page with episodes and platform links.
- Week 4 — Platform and Brand Expansion: Create YouTube channel. Set up Crunchbase, Clutch, and G2 profiles. Begin Reddit participation in r/dentistry and r/marketing.
Projected Impact
GEO Score: 52/100 → 78/100 (estimated). Proper llms.txt plus AggregateRating schema alone should add 10+ points. The content citability and E-E-A-T fixes compound from there.
But here’s the real multiplier: every fix Titan implements on their own site becomes a repeatable playbook for 100+ dental clients. Healthcare triggers AI Overviews at the highest rate of any industry. If Titan can close these gaps for themselves, they can close them for every practice they serve.
